Have you ever got to the last page of a book, put
it down and thought, 'That was such a good read. I wish I could talk to
somebody else who's read it. I'd like to know what they thought.'
If so, you might enjoy our Book Group, which is
very much like any other reading group except that the books we choose -
among them novels, biographies, travel writing, spiritual journeys and
teaching - generally have a Christian dimension. We meet on
a Monday evening every two or three months in the home of one
of our members (who, incidentally, makes very good coffee!).
We are always eager to extend our range and our
membership, so new readers will find a very warm welcome.
Future dates for Book Group meetings: 8th December - The Little Flowers of St Francis - any edition 9th March 2009 - Salmon Fishing in the Yemen - Paul Torday 8th June - The Moorville Hours - Katherine Swift
14th September - Restless - William Boyd
