There are many ways in which you can contribute to the life and work at St Catharine's. We will be delighted for you to join in one of them as described on the other pages. Here we dwell on one aspect, financial giving. The work we do at St Catharine's depends on donations from our members. Our understanding on giving starts on the premise that God does need our money because he owns everything. Psalm 24:1. We however give generously to the work of God out of gratitude for who he is and as an act of worship.
You can make a one off gift to St Catharine's. Please contact Keith, our treasurer, about this.
If you pay UK tax (Income or Capital Gains Tax) and would like us to claim back the basic rate tax, you will need to fill in, sign and return to us an ongoing Gift Aid declaration, if you have not done so already. If you do this St Catharine's will recover the basic rate of income tax. (If you pay higher rate tax, you may recover this through your own tax return.) Please click here for the gift aid declaration form.
For regular giving we encourage people to sign up to the diocesan direct debit giving scheme. The diocese delivers your gift to St Catharine's bank account promptly with any reclaimed basic rate tax. It also enables you to increase your giving annually by inflation without the need to contact your bank. Please contact Keith for further information.
A regular collection is taken at all Sunday services. Please use the gift aid envelopes placed at the back of chairs.
You may also like to make a donation to St Catharine's in your will. For more information on legacies please click here.
If you have any questions on these or other ways of giving, please contact, Keith: pcctreasurer@stcatharine.org.uk.
