The Mothers Union (MU) is a world-wide organisation united by our shared belief in the importance of the family in God’s world. The MU exists to share Christ’s love by encouraging, strengthening and supporting marriage and family life.

The forty women members here at St Catharine’s look on our membership as an important part of our Christian life and our personal walk with God.  It acts as a nucleus which encourages us in fellowship with one another to reach out into the community in which we live and work.

We are a mixture – a good number of us combining home and family (including the demands of being grandparents into today’s society) with jobs or working in the voluntary sector.

All our meetings are ‘open’ – in that you don’t need to be a member to come along.  It’s not a female only organisation either. Men can become members too as can all women, married and unmarried, parent or not all can, and do join the MU.

There’s always a copy of our recent news letter and programme available to take, any time, from the table in the church entrance.
