Outreach
Jesus' ministry was marked by love and compassion for those who lived and worked around Him and as followers of Jesus we try to find way to connect with and to bless our local community in 21st Century Gloucester.
Our church members all minister and bless those they meet and care for in their everyday lives in a variety of ways and this is an important part of what we do. However, we have been particularly encouraged by finding ways to bless our local community as a church family and, in some cases, alongside other churches. Recent initiatives include:
- Easter Crème Egg or cold fizzy drink handouts to shoppers - taking time to talk and pray with those we meet.
- Healing on the Streets - being present in the city ready to pray with people about anything, but particularly those seeking healing. For more information check out: healingglos.org.uk .
- Local litter picks - a practical way to bless our neighbours
- Parish Prayer Walks - praying God's blessing on our community
- Bacon Butty outreach - a free bacon sandwich in the morning can be a real blessing!
