Caring communities.

Welcome for all

Care home ministry.

We regularly hold services in care homes across the parish, currently gathering once a month in Horton House, Guild House, Magdalen House, Charnwood House and Chapel House. This is an important part of our shared life together and is supported by a dedicated team.

Sunday morning 10.30am.

St Catharine’s also has many smaller social care homes in the parish and each Sunday morning there is a warm welcome to residents and carers from these homes into our worship gathering. We are very relaxed about people moving around as they need to, and expressing their worship in different ways.

Caring communities - Easter & Christmas.

We hold special services at Easter and Christmas for those who are part of caring communities. These are interpreted into British Sign Language, and always include drama, singing, prayer and craft activities, and offer a rich celebration of these important Christian festivals.

I would like to say a huge heartfelt thank you for all the lovely things you do throughout the year to welcome and include the adults and staff. My brother has severe learning and physical disabilities and I have seen from his scrapbooks and carers diaries about his enjoyment of church
